Minister for Livestock Sindh visited GCLI Okara Facility
A high-level delegation of the Department of Livestock and Fisheries Sindh visited Green Corporate Livestock Initiative (GCLI) Okara. Provincial Minister for Livestock Sindh Muhammad Ali Malkani was leading the delegation. Director Farms GCLI Col (R) Imran Masood Khan briefed the delegation about the objectives, operational system and modern breeding technologies of the institution. Secretary Livestock Department Sindh Dr. Kazim Hussain Jatoi and Director General Sindh Institute of Animal Health (SIAH) Karachi Dr. Nazir Hussain Kalhoro also accompanied Minister Livestock Sindh.
During the visit, the delegation made a detailed inspection of the modern gender sorting semen lab and IVF lab and observed the latest technologies. They also observed the breeding bulls of high breeds present at GCLI Farm Okara.

Provincial Minister for Livestock Muhammad Ali Malkani expressed special interest in obtaining high quality gender sorted semen for the betterment of Sindh’s livestock sector. He also expressed interest in the availability of embryos of Red Sindhi, Angus, Brahman, Nellore and Gir so that modern genetic resources can be utilized to increase milk and meat production in the province.
