DCFA Pakistan Delegation visited the Fongrow Breed Improvement and Research Centre Khanewal
The delegation of the Dairy and Cattle Farmers Association – DCFA Pakistan visited the Fongrow Breed Improvement and Research Centre Khanewal. Shakir Umar Guajjar, president DCFA Pakistan, was leading the delegation. They visited advanced labs and imported animals at Fongrow Khanewal.
Role of Fongrow Breed Improvement and Research Centre
Chief Operating Officer Brig Arshad Tawfiq gave a detailed briefing on the Livestock Breed Improvement Project by Fongrow. He said that Fongrow has imported the best animals from the world so that along with increasing milk and meat production, exports to other countries can also be increased.
This Fongrow Breed Improvement and Research Centre is working on livestock breed improvement. It focuses on the availability of semen of the world’s best livestock breeds. Moreover, it is also working on the Embryo Transfer Technology and other latest technologies in animal reproduction and breeding.
