Apply online for the Punjab Veterinary Internship Program for Vets and Paravets

Applications are being accepted for the Punjab Veterinary Internship Program. This paid Vet internship program is for 1,000 veterinary graduates and para-vets across Punjab. A huge amount of Rs 600 million has been allocated for this Internship for Vets and paravets. In the first phase, 255 vets and 230 para-vets will benefit.

Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz says that the Punjab Veterinary Internship Program aims to promote livestock in Punjab. This program will provide practical experience to the youth, while livestock farmers will get the facility of animal treatment and consultation at their doorstep. She said that they want to take advantage of the potential of livestock in Punjab. They want to make Punjab a hub for livestock and dairy development. Government of Punjab is with livestock farmers today and will continue to stand with livestock farmers in the future.

Requirements for Veterinary Internship Program

Under this program, veterinary graduates will get a monthly stipend of Rs 60,000 while para-vets will get a monthly stipend of Rs 40,000. Veterinary graduates and para vets can apply from home. Quota for vets, veterinary assistants, AI technicians and lab assistants has been fixed for the districts of Punjab.

For veterinary graduates, it is necessary to have a DVM degree approved by the Higher Education Commission as well as PVMC registration, while the age limit is 25 years.

For para vets, it is necessary to have a two-year LAD diploma holder from an approved institution, while the age limit has been set at 20 years. Moreover, for this Paid Vet Internship Program, it is necessary to have a domicile as well as a smartphone. Furthermore, the applicant should not be employed in any private or government organization.
