International red meat seminar
Association of Food Laboratories and Food Auditors – GLADER organized international red meat seminar | گلیڈر کے زیر اہتمام انٹرنیشنل ریڈ میٹ سیمینار کا انعقاد
A one-day international online seminar on red meat was organized by the Association of Food Laboratories and Food Auditors (GLADER). The aim of the seminar was to highlight the nutritional importance of red meat. More than 90 researchers from Pakistan, Turkey, Iran, Egypt and other countries participated in the seminar through video link.
The seminar discussed various aspects of red meat production, safety and related development. Dr. Gur Han of Istanbul University, Turkey… discussed fermented products and starter cultures. Professor Dr. Saima of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore, told about the myths related to red meat and the facts in this regard.
Dr. Samra Kayadre of Manisa Jalal Bayar University highlighted the use of meat processing techniques. Professor Dr. Faqir Muhammad of the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad also spoke in the seminar. He mentioned various aspects of food safety related to red meat. Professor Dr. Umet Gurboz of Seljuk University, Turkey, highlighted the topic of meat pathogens and public health.
Dr. Ali Khanjari of Tehran University, Iran, also expressed his views in the seminar. Associate Professor Ulaş Akaruz of Afyon Kocaeli University, Turkey, and Associate Professor Dr. Mian Mohammad Owais of the Veterinary Faculty of Bahauddin Zakaria University, Multan, were the organizers of the seminar. The participants appreciated the efforts of the organizers. It was informed in the seminar that seminars will continue to be held regarding the importance of red meat.
