A meeting was held on the application of genomics in blue Ravi buffaloes under the National Center for Livestock Breeding Genetics and Genomics of the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad. The meeting reviewed the use of SNP chip for improving production, recommendations for the future of the progeny testing program and its improvement, and suggestions for the use of modern genomic techniques.

The meeting was attended by Director General Production, Livestock Department, Punjab, Dr. Syed Nadeem Badar, Vice Chancellor, Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bahawalpur, Professor Dr. Muhammad Sajjad Khan, Dean, Animal Husbandry Faculty, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Professor Dr. Qamar Bilal, Professor Dr. Saif-ur-Rehman, Dr. Ijaz Mahmood Gursi, Dr. Muhammad Khalid Farooq and Dr. Asim Tauseef and others.
