PPA and UVAS observed World Egg Day at Ravi Campus Pattoki
In collaboration with Pakistan Poultry Association and Rumi Poultry, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Ravi Campus Pattoki celebrated World Egg Day 2025. A delegation of PPA led by Dr. FM Sabir specially attended the event. The delegation included Chairman PPA Abdul Basit, Vice Chairman PPA North Region Malik Muhammad Sharif and Dr. Hanif Nazir Chaudhry.
The event was attended by Vice Chancellor Veterinary University, Meritorious Professor Dr. Muhammad Younas Dean, Faculty of Animal Production and Technology Prof Dr. Saima, Principal Officer Ravi Campus Professor Dr. Arshad Javed, Professor Dr. Aamir Ghafoor, Dr. Jibran Nasir, Dr. Shahid Mahmood and others.
Activities at UVAS on World Egg Day 2025
Various activities were organized on the campus to mark the World Day. An awareness walk was organized on the occasion where faculty members and students emphasized the nutritional importance of eggs. A series of informative sessions and interesting competitions were also held. In these sessions, experts highlighted the nutritional value and utility of eggs. Further, their importance in the national economy was also highlighted.
Students from various departments of the Veterinary University including Biological Sciences, Zoology, DVM, Medical Lab Technology, Food Science and Technology, and Biotechnology as well as participants from Government Associate Degree College for Women, Pattoki participated in the egg cooking competition. Students from Girl Community Model School, Mandi, Pattoki presented a tableau. The event concluded with the distribution of cash prizes among the winners of the competitions.
