World Cat Day & World Lion Day observed internationally | آٹھ اگست کو بلیوں کا عالمی دن اور دس اگست کو شیروں کا عالمی دن منایا گیا. World Cat Day was celebrated on August 8. The aim of celebrating this day is to create awareness about the better care and welfare of cats at the global level. The celebration of International Cat Day started in 2002 on the recommendation of the International Fund for Animal Welfare.

This year, the supervision of this day has been handed over to an organization called International Cat Care. The HappyCat# movement was also launched on this day, under which various activities were organized.

Along with World Cat Day, World Lion Day was also celebrated on August 10. The aim of celebrating World Lion Day is to create awareness for the survival of lions in wildlife. The celebration of this day was started by an organization called Big Cat Rescue in 2013. This day demands that the voice be raised about the decreasing number of lions at the global level and various measures be taken to save them.
