First SIFC Livestock Facilitation Centre in Gilgit

RVFC of Pakistan Army and Livestock Department Gilgit Baltistan has established the first SIFC Livestock Facilitation Centre in Gilgit. This Centre is established by Remount Veterinary Corps under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC). GRIDD Project was also inaugurated. Headquarters Log Force Command Northern Areas (FCNA) arranged this event. Moreover, Deputy Director Military Farms Col Abdul Rehman Qureshi specially graced this inaugural Ceremony.

Additional Secretary Agriculture and Livestock Hussain Ali also joined the inauguration ceremony. Director Livestock Dr. Ishtiaq Hussain of Livestock Department Gilgit Baltistan, Maj Adeel of Force Command Northern Areas FCNA, Capt. Waqar Younis of RVFC and other officers were also present.

This Livestock Facilitation Centre will facilitate the farmers. Besides guidance on livestock farming, the center will also provide different veterinary products and services including medicines and vaccines. Moreover, Bank Loan facility will also be part of this center. Registered Farmers will also get the benefits of the GRIDD Project.

SIFC Livestock and RVFC

Special Investment Facilitation Council is a single window providing facilities to investors. It is working on ease of doing business to promote foreign and local investment in Pakistan. Furthermore, Its key areas include IT and Telecommunication, Mine and Minerals, Energy, Industry, Tourism, and Privatization. Moreover, it is also focusing on the agriculture and livestock sectors as key investment areas.

RVFC is the Remount Veterinary and Farms Corps of the Pakistan Army. Furthermore, Remount Veterinary Corps is a Major stakeholder in SIFC Livestock and agriculture activities in Pakistan.

GRIDD Project of RVFC

GIRDD Project is a Grassroot Incentivized Dairy Development Project. This project focuses small farmers for dairy development through incentivization. Furthermore, this links farmers with different stakeholders including the livestock department. This linkage provides different farming inputs with special incentives. Moreover, farmers also get veterinary services and guidance for the development of their farming.
