UVAS organized a DVM Career Session. Selmore Pharmaceuticals collaborated for this veterinary career session. Experts addressed different DVM Jobs. Furthermore, they also highlighted the support of the company. In addition to this, they also discussed veterinary jobs in marketing and other fields. Experts encouraged students to learn marketing and consulting skills. Besides this, they also discussed different aspects of practical life.

DVM Career and DVM Degree

DVM is a five-year degree program. It is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree. After completing this degree, a student becomes a veterinary doctor. Besides animal treatment, this degree also covers farm management and animal husbandry skills. This degree covers animals including cows, buffalo, sheep, goats, and camels. Besides this, poultry is the primary part of this degree. Poultry management as well as the treatment of birds is also focused.

On the other hand, DVM also covers pet animals. These include cats, dogs, birds, and other companion animals. Furthermore, wild animals are also part of this degree. Besides Health and management, students also learn animal nutrition. They also learn about animal breeding and animal welfare. Basic sciences subjects are also part of this degree. Disease Diagnosis and Lab skills are also the component.

DVM Career in Pakistan and abroad

Veterinary Doctors have veterinary career in different related sectors. DVM Graduates find veterinary jobs in dairy farm management. They also find jobs in poultry farm management. Equine management is also a career line. Furthermore, they also get DVM jobs in marketing. This segment is related to veterinary medicines, feed, and other farm inputs. Feed Production Management is also a sector. In addition to this, Veterinary Doctors may also find veterinary jobs in the social sector.

An important sector regarding DVM Career is pet practice. Furthermore, wildlife vet is an interesting job. On the other hand, there is a vast avenue of livestock field practice.
