Secretary Livestock Punjab called on Chairman GCLI

Secretary Livestock Punjab Ahmed Aziz Tarar called on Chairman GCLI – Green Corporate Livestock Initiative, Major General (R) Shahid Mahmood. On this occasion, various aspects regarding the development of the livestock sector were discussed.

Major General (R) Shahid Mahmood briefed on various activities of the Green Corporate Livestock Initiative. He presented the progress made regarding the herd transformation drive, animal traceability, and collaboration between the Livestock Department Punjab. Various aspects of sexed semen production and its easy access to farmers were also discussed. Along with this, the importance and recent progress of the Grassroot Incentivized Dairy Development (GRIDD) project were also highlighted. Discussions were also held regarding improving the vaccine production capacity of the Livestock Department, and especially the quality of the foot and mouth vaccine.
