PVPA Strategic Meeting and Eid Milan held in Lahore
Pakistan Veterinary Pharmaceutical Association (PVPA) organized an Eid Milan and Strategic Meeting. The event was held in honor of PVPA Patron-in-Chief Dr. Muhammad Amjad. The PVPA Strategic Meeting and Eid Milan ceremony was attended by senior government officials, business leaders, veterinary experts and prominent media representatives. Secretary Livestock Punjab Ahmed Aziz Tarar, President Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mian Faheem-ur-Rehman Segal and Vice President and Regional Chairman Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry Mian Zaki Ijaz were present.
During the event, the speakers appreciated the role of the veterinary pharmaceutical sector and said that it is playing a significant role in the development of Pakistan’s livestock and dairy industry. They stressed the need for policy support, industry-government cooperation and innovative investment.

Senior officials of the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) also attended the event, including Deputy Director Dr. Mehwish Jamil Butt, Additional Director Dr. Zia Al-Hussein and Deputy Director Dr. Sheikh Rashid. Additional Secretary Livestock, Dr. Usman Tahir and DG Research Dr. Sajjad Hussain also attended the event.
The event was also attended by leading journalists and TV anchors of the country, including Salman Hassan, Salman Haider, Hafeezullah Khan Niazi, Salman Khan, Irshad Ahmed Arif, Salman Ghani, Uzma Noman, Ayesha Zulfiqar, Uzair Malik and others.
Highlights at PVPA Strategic Meeting
PVPA led by Chairman Dr. Asim Mahmood, Vice Chairman Dr. Khalid Iqbal, Vice Chairman North Region Mian Shoaib Amjad and Patron-in-Chief Dr. Muhammad Amjad also addressed the event.
The speakers highlighted the challenges faced by the sector, especially regulatory issues, market barriers and the need for innovation, and called public-private partnerships indispensable.
Announcement of International Veterinary Pharma Expo 2026
On this occasion, the PVPA Chairman also announced the upcoming International Veterinary Pharmaceuticals Expo 2026, which will be held at Expo Centre Johar Town, Lahore from 28 to 30 April 2026. The exhibition is expected to attract significant participation from key stakeholders in the veterinary and pharmaceutical sectors, which will promote networking, business opportunities and innovation.
The event concluded in a convivial atmosphere where the participants appreciated the efforts of PVPA. The event not only served as a means of celebrating the joys of Eid but also proved to be an important forum for meaningful dialogue on the future of Pakistan’s veterinary pharmaceutical sector.
