PVMC objected to the Post of Veterinary Officer in Grade 16, along with giving eligibility to allied  degrees

The Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council (PVMC) has strongly given the observation on the advertisement of the post of Veterinary Officer in the Punjab Food Authority, Price Control and Commodities Management Department in Grade 16. The PVMC says that advertising a professional post like Veterinary Officer in a lower grade is against the service rules and professional standards. According to the council, veterinary graduates are eligible for higher grade posts and keeping them in BS-16 is tantamount to degrading the veterinary profession and discouraging professionalism.

The PVMC has clarified that veterinary posts can be given only to registered veterinary doctors and registered animal husbandry graduates. Including irrelevant degrees in veterinary posts is also against the rules and regulations.
