Animal Distribution Ceremony in Khanewal held under Livestock Asset Transfer Project

Under the Livestock Asset Transfer Project, animals were distributed among the rural women of Khanewal District. Minister of Livestock Punjab Ashiq Hussain Kimrani was the chief guest of the animal distribution ceremony.

Provincial Minister of Livestock Ashiq Hussain Kirmani said that during the past year, the Punjab government has taken special steps for the development of the livestock sector and the prosperity of livestock farmers. Livestock is a sector of fundamental importance in our rural economy and women are very important in terms of taking care of animals. Under this project, not only the livestock sector will be promoted but also the women of our society will get economic stability.

Secretary Livestock at Animal Distribution Project

Secretary Livestock Saqib Ali Ateel said on this occasion that under the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, the Livestock Department is trying to provide all possible facilities to livestock farmers. The Chief Minister’s Livestock Card scheme is providing easy loans to livestock farmers.

Secretary Livestock Punjab further said on this occasion that the livestock asset transfer project among widows and divorced women of South Punjab is the Chief Minister’s plan for the economic independence of widows and divorced women. Under this scheme, 200 animals were distributed among poor women.

Director General Extension Dr. Muhammad Ashraf and other officers of the department also attended the ceremony.
