Pets Deworming and Use of Dart Gun
Vets Care Club of UVAS organized a veterinary camp at SA Garden Animal Sanctuary. They have “Crazy Cats” as Cat Sanctuary and “Good Dogs” as Dog Sanctuary. Students learned different aspects of animal welfare and veterinary care. Moreover, they also carried out Deworming in Cats and Deworming in Dogs. They also learnt about technical aspects of Pets Deworming including Deworming in Puppy and Deworming in Kitten. Besides this, they also got the opportunity to learn about Dart Gun. Furthermore, in the equine section, they learned about equine management. This news give the technical details of dog deworming, cat deworming, kitten deworming and puppy deworming. What is Pets Deworming?
Deworming is simply the removal of worms or parasites from the body. During feeding and other activities, the animal may consume different worms or their eggs. The worm load increases with increased outside activity of your pet. However, regular deworming of pets including dog deworming and cat deworming is important according to the recommendations of your pet. In this process, vet use a a medicine, dewormer.
Benefits of Pets Deworming:
In the case of worms in the body, animal gets weaker and weaker and gets different diseases. Deworming removes the worms from the body. Furthermore, it protects the animals from different diseases and improves its overall health. Moreover, it also improves the digestive system and digestion of the animal. In short, deworming keeps the pet healthy and improves its performance.

Deworming in Dogs and Deworming in Puppy:
Deworming in puppy or puppy deworming may be started at the age of 2 weeks, with subsequent treatment every 2 to 3 weeks until 12 weeks of age. Deworming in Cats and Deworming in Kittens:

General Recommendations for Pets Deworming
In General schedule of deworming depends upon the age, size, weight, and condition of the pet. Moreover, it depends upon the activity and lifestyle of the pet. Importantly, the type and brand of dewormer is the most important factor. So always follow the instructions of your vet for deworming. The vet will assess the pet and select the medicine and its recommended dose and dosage.
In general, for outdoor animals, routine deworming should be carried out within 3-6 months. On the other hand, for indoor pets, you may change the schedule according to the vet recommendation.
Control of Ectoparasites:
In the case of Ectoparasites, like ticks and fleas, use the medicine if required. Moreover, You may get instructions regarding general cleanliness and hygiene of the pet from a qualified veterinarian. It will protect the pet from different ectoparasites.

Dart Gun and its Usage:
A Dart Gun is a special gun, which is commonly used in wildlife. Its purpose is to sedate the wild animal or dangerous target. Moreover, it may also be used to medicate the animals in the wild. Zookeepers and wildlife veterinarians normally use this. Besides this, vets also use it in case of dangerous dog catching. A dart gun consists of a Stabilizer, a Dart Syringe, and a Needle.
