How to feed your dog? Dog feeding guidelines and dog nutrition guidelines. Dog keeping activity is increasing day by day and besides their health and breeding issues the most important aspect is dog diet or dog feeding. As dog is a carnivorous, meat is the major part of diet. Boiled chicken should be preferred. Use of beef may cause the heart problems in dogs. Vegetables for dogs can also be selected but should be offered after boiling and with the consultation of dog doctor (Vet specialist in dogs and other pets). Milk after two months should not be offered to avoid diarrhea, yogurt can be given. Chocolates for dogs are not good. Commercial dog food is also available in the market.

Dogs are really companions for people. A lot of people have dogs as pets. For pet dogs to be healthy and live long they need to eat be clean get exercise and see a doctor when they are sick.

Pet dog food needs to have protein, fat, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals. The amount and type of food that is good for a dog depends on how old the dog’s what kind of dog it is, how big it is and how much it runs around.

Now a days you can buy dog food that is already made and has the amount of nutrients. You can also make food for your dog at home if you plan it right.

Water for Dogs

It is very important to give dogs clean and fresh water all the time. If dogs do not have water they can get sick and feel weak. So we need to make sure they have water especially when it’s hot outside.

What foods should be avoided?

There are some foods that dogs should not eat. These include:

  • Foods that have too much salt
  • Chocolate
  • Drinks that have caffeine
  • Foods that are too spicy
  • Bad or rotten bones
  • Alcohol and other bad things

Dogs need to exercise every day to be healthy and happy. Walking, running and playing help keep their bodies strong and their minds happy.

We need to clean our dogs give them baths cut their hair and keep their homes clean. This helps keep them from getting sick. We also need to give them shots and use medicine to keep bugs away.

If your dog is not eating, is lazy has a fever is throwing up has diarrhea or is acting strange you need to take them to the doctor away. Regular check-ups and shots can keep dogs from getting sick.
