Three new PVMC Posts created, notified
Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council (PVMC) has approved three new posts by amending the Employees Service Regulations 2022. In this regard, the federal government has issued a notification in the official gazette under S.R.O.977(I)/2026 for these new PVMC Posts.
According to the notification, the posts of Audit Officer (BPS-17), Assistant Director (Public Relations) (BPS-17) and Assistant Director (Human Resources and Coordination) (BPS-17) have been added after the recommendations of the PVMC Executive Committee and the approval of the Council. Under the amendment, the recruitment procedure, promotion rules, educational qualifications, experience and age limit for these new posts have also been included. 50 percent of the appointments to these posts will be made through promotion and 50 percent through open merit.

Requirements for PVMC Posts
According to the notification, for the post of Audit Officer, a Master’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Commerce, Accounting or related field has been prescribed, while for the post of Assistant Director (Public Relations) a relevant degree in Mass Communication, Media Studies, Journalism or Public Relations has been prescribed.Similarly, for the post of Assistant Director (Human Resources and Coordination), a relevant qualification in Human Resource Management, Public Administration or Management Sciences has been made mandatory. The maximum age limit for initial recruitment has been fixed at 45 years. Along with this, the post of Secretary/Registrar has been increased to Grade 20.
These amendments are being described as a significant step towards further strengthening the administrative and institutional structure of PVMC and enhancing professional capacity in the areas of finance, human resource management and public relations.
