he Department of Pathology of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore and the College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Jhang in collaboration with the Davis Thompson Foundation and the Global Health Pathology Network organized a three-day international workshop on the topic of Pathology of Diseases in Animals.
While presiding over the closing ceremony, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naseem Ahmed distributed certificates among the training participants and resource persons.
The event was attended by Principal College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Jhang Professor Dr. Fayyaz Qamar, Chairman Pathology Department Professor Dr. Asim Aslam, Director Chughtai Lab Dr. Omar Chughtai, Professor Dr. Corey Brown and Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmed from the University of Georgia, USA, as well as a large number of teachers, researchers, postgraduate students and professionals from various public and private sector educational institutions of Pakistan.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Professor Dr. Naseem Ahmed said that the organization of the workshop is extremely important to know the modern equipment and methods used in the pathology department for the diagnosis of diseases found in animals.
He appreciated the efforts of Professor Dr. Corey Brown for teaching the best techniques and knowledge related to the field of pathology to the workshop participants. He appreciated the efforts of the workshop patron Prof. Dr. Asim Aslam, organizer Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmed and organizing secretary Dr. Adeem Rehman Rafi, along with Prof. Yasin Tipu, Dr. Matiur Rehman, Dr. Ghulam Mustafa and others and stressed on organizing more such training programs.
In the three-day training, the experts discussed the basic principles of morphological diagnosis, pathogenesis of calf diarrhea and topics related to diseases of the nervous and reproductive systems.
