National Dialogue on Food Safety

National Alliance for Safe Food (NAFS) organized a National Dialogue. This was a Food Safety Dialogue to enhance awareness and understanding of food safety issues. The theme of this Food Safety Dialogue was “Food safety: prepare for the unexpected”.

Pakistan Dairy Summit

The food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the Riphah Institute of Public Policy, and the Islamabad Food Authority (IFA) collaborated on this dialogue. Speakers highlighted the different aspects of food-borne diseases. Moreover, they also focused on the deaths caused by this critical issue.

Different stakeholders including policymakers, professionals, scientists, and business persons shared their experiences. They also compiled recommendations for different relevant quarters.
