Importantly, this decision comes after a long struggle by the Dairy and Cattle Farmers Association. Farmers had been highlighting rising production costs, including increased expenses on animal feed, electricity, and other farm inputs.

As a result, the price increase is being seen as a major relief for farmers affected by inflation. Moreover, stakeholders are calling it a positive step in favor of the dairy sector, as it supports farmers facing severe economic pressure and helps sustain milk production.
