The concluding ceremony of a two-day National Workshop on Teaching Radiographic Imaging Techniques of Small Animals (Cats and Dogs) to Vet Professionals/Pet Practitioners organized by the Pet Center at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore was held at the Veterinary Academy located at the City Campus.
The ceremony was attended by Professor Dr. Kamran Ashraf, Professor Dr. Asim Khalid, Dr. Shahid Naseer, Dr. Uzma Farid Durrani and Dr. Ziaullah Mughal, along with faculty members from various educational institutions across the country, representatives from the pharmaceutical industry and pet practitioners. The chief guest of the ceremony was Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naseem Ahmed.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Naseem Ahmed spoke about the importance of X-ray in diagnosing diseases in small animals and urged pet owners to work hard to provide good services in the treatment of animals.
Dr. Shahid Naseer spoke about the techniques of X-ray, while Dr. Asim Khalid explained the aims and objectives of the workshop.
The aim of the workshop was to familiarize the participants/professionals with modern technical skills related to radiographic imaging of small animals and to provide practical training. The two-day workshop discussed various topics related to the clinical importance of radiology, radiographic and medical interpretation of different body parts, and advanced diagnostic imaging techniques in veterinary clinical practice.
The workshop also provided participants with practical training on the use of digital X-ray units and radiography.
