Livestock Distribution among Rural Women under Livestock Asset Transfer Program
The Livestock Department has started free animal distribution among women in South Punjab. The registration for free livestock distribution for rural women is continued. Provincial Minister for Livestock and Agriculture Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani formally inaugurated this livestock asset transfer program for cattle distribution. Parliamentary Secretary Livestock Punjab Sardar Asim Sher Mekan and Secretary Livestock Punjab Saqib Ali Attil also participated in the event. There is a special Livestock Asset Transfer App for registration
Under this special program of livestock distribution the Department of Livestock, will distribute cow and buffalo heifers among 11 thousands of widows and divorced women of South Punjab. This animal distribution will be free of cost.
Importance of Livestock Distribution
Provincial Livestock Minister Ashiq Hussain Kirmani says that this animal distribution scheme will empower rural women and make them stand on their own feet. Women will get employment opportunities while the number of good animals will also increase through this cattle distribution program.

Requirements for the Cattle Distribution Program
The districts of Dera Ghazi Khan, Khanewal, Lodhran, Layyah, Vehari, Muzaffargarrh, Multan, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Kot Addu, Rajan Pur and Rahim Yar Khan are included in this program. The maximum age limit for women in this regard is 55 years. The woman should have a poverty PMT score up to 32. Further, these rural women have not acquired animals from any other scheme during the last 5 years.

Women can apply by downloading the Livestock Asset Transfer app from the Play Store/App Store. The mobile app of Livestock Asset Transfer to Rural Women can be downloaded from this link. Moreover, one can also contact the CM Facilitation Desk established in the nearest veterinary hospital or dispensary for registration.
