Livestock Distribution Ceremony held in Tahsil Alipur and Tahsil Jatoi of District Muzaffargarh
Livestock were distributed among successful women selected through an online balloting process. In Tehsil Alipur, 67 widowed and divorced women received animals, while in Tehsil Jatoi, 75 women benefited from the program. In total, 102 Sahiwal and Cholistani cows and 40 Nili Ravi buffaloes were distributed free of cost. Moreover, the women were also provided Livestock Credit Cards to help them purchase feed for their animals during Livestock Distribution ceremony.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by AC Alipur Nauman Masood, AC Jatoi Mehr Sajid Iqbal, former District Nazim Muzaffargarh Sardar Umar Khan Gopang, Sabtain Raza Bukhari, Syed Shams Murtaza, Rana Abdul Mannan, Sajid Rana, Irfan Jamshed, and other notable participants.
Speaking on the occasion, participants described the initiative as an important step toward financial empowerment of rural women. They said the program will not only improve the economic condition of deserving women but will also support the growth of the rural economy. Beneficiary women expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif and Provincial Minister for Livestock Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani for launching this initiative.

It is worth noting that the process of transferring livestock assets worth PKR 2 billion to 11,000 deserving widowed and divorced rural women in South Punjab is underway.
Under this program of Livestock Distribution, healthy cows and buffaloes are being provided free of cost in 12 districts. The aim is to create sustainable livelihood opportunities for rural women, increase milk production, and help reduce poverty in the region.
