FAO Pakistan organized LEGS training for the officers of the Livestock Departments of Sindh and Balochistan. Livestock Emergency is a serious issue in Pakistan in the context of floods and other natural disasters. Besides public management, it is the primary requirement to manage the livestock in any emergency. Livestock Emergency Guidelines and Standards are the set of standards for all livestock stakeholders including vets. Furthermore, these standards are for livestock emergency planning and livestock emergency management. Simply, LEGS Book is the book on livestock emergency. LEGS is an international organization that works on emergency of livestock. Besides standards and guidelines, it also imparts training. Its working is in different areas of the world. A board of trustees manages its activities. Furthermore, a strategic planning committee guides the board. The primary document is LEGS Book which is a book on livestock emergency.
