International Poultry Expo 2026 Concluded in Lahore
The International Poultry Expo 2026 concluded at the Expo Centre Lahore after three days of activities. The Pakistan Poultry Association (PPA) organized the IPEX 2026 from October 8 to 10. The event attracted strong participation from local and international companies, poultry experts, researchers, farmers, veterinary professionals, students, investors, and other industry stakeholders. Poultry Science conference was also held on the first day of the expo.
Federal Minister for Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb attended the closing ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, he said that Pakistan’s poultry sector contributes approximately $23 million to $24 million to the country’s total meat exports. He noted that Pakistan’s overall meat exports stand at around $530 million.
The Federal Minister highlighted the strong potential of Pakistan’s poultry industry in both domestic and international markets. He said that Pakistan currently ranks as the 11th largest poultry-producing country in the world. Moreover, he stressed the need to move into the top 10 and eventually target the fifth position globally.
Poultry Science Conference and Special Activities
The expo also featured a Poultry Science Conference on the first day. Experts, researchers, veterinarians, and industry representatives discussed important developments and challenges facing the poultry sector.
On the second day, organizers held a special interactive session on the nutritional value of poultry products. The session highlighted the role of chicken meat and eggs in a healthy and balanced diet. Furthermore, organizers arranged a quiz competition for students to promote awareness and engagement among young participants.
The expo also featured a special activity to mark World Egg Day. The activity highlighted the nutritional importance of eggs and their role in human nutrition.
