International Conference on Sustainable Agriculture in Pakistan by Media Development Foundation

An international conference on  Sustainable Agriculture in Pakistan was held in Karachi. Pakistan Media Development Foundation organized this conference in collaboration with the Green Pakistan Initiative under SIFC. DG Strategic Projects Green Pakistan Initiative Major General (R) Shahid Nazir and DG Green Corporate Livestock Initiative (GCLI) Major General (R) Shahid Mehmood also participated. President DCFA Pakistan Shakir Umar Gujjar was also invited among penalists.

In the conference, experts highlighted various aspects of agriculture development. The conference focused on organic farming, modern agriculture, agricultural research, and other topics as well as the livestock and dairy sector. Maj Gen Shahid Mehmood highlighted various aspects of the Green Corporate Livestock Initiative for the development of the Livestock Sector in Pakistan. Shakir Umar Gujjar discussed the problems faced by the dairy sector. He said that small farmers and traditional livestock farming cannot be ignored. We have to focus on small farmers to save the country’s economy.
