Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, referring to his speech at the 100-day performance ceremony, said this at the 100-day performance ceremony of the Punjab government. The reason for this is certainly the lack of seriousness of the people that the talk about chickens was made fun of.
Why the Message Became a Joke
The choice of words and their interrelationship is not only important, but it is also necessary to make a preface to what is being said and connect it to the background. Then the style of speech and body language have a separate importance in this. Sometimes even the most ridiculous thing becomes meaningful when said in a serious manner and sometimes the most important and serious thing becomes a national joke if said in a joking manner. Something similar happened here too.
If the Prime Minister of Pakistan’s speech had contained these words or been delivered in this context, the chicken thing wouldn’t have been a joke.

The livestock sector is the backbone of Pakistan’s economy. More than half of the GDP contributed by agriculture comes from livestock. These are words that you must have heard often, but in reality no one has ever focused on this sector. Our government is also focusing on this, which is why it has also been included in the Soroza Plan.
For this, an emergency working group was formed, which formulated proposals after consulting experts and other stakeholders. I chaired the final meeting myself, in which I also directly interacted with experts.
The purpose of telling you is that we are also going to focus on the livestock sector. This is a sector in which you do not need to invest. There is capital investment provided by nature. We just have to manage this natural asset. By focusing on this one sector, we can not only meet the food needs of the country, but also earn a lot of foreign exchange.
I was recently in Malaysia, when I was told We want to invest in the halal industry. The international halal market is very big but our share in it is negligible. That is why we will also work on the export of livestock.
We will solve all the problems of exporters in the long term. We will control foot and mouth disease and other diseases so that our products are in demand in the international market.
Our big problem is that people do not give milk to slaughtered calves while they raise females. We will take livestock export to such a level that farmers and even ordinary businessmen will want us to raise slaughtered calves because they will get the price of their product.
Although all this will take time, work has started on it. In the short term, we will take such steps so that these calves can be saved. For this, we are going to give subsidies to farmers to raise slaughtered calves so that our exporters get goods for export. Our government will ensure that this subsidy reaches the right place and achieves the desired results.
Tackling Stunted Growth
And the problem is Stunted Growth. Our children are suffering from malnutrition even after eating bread. I feel very sad when I see the future of this nation being wasted. These children do not get the required protein.
We are bringing a plan so that the nutritional needs of the children of the poor are also met and they get quality protein. For this, we will distribute chickens among the people. Our relevant departments will help them in taking care of these chickens. By raising chickens, where the income stream starts in poor families, they will also get eggs from these chickens to eat. This is a way by which we can reduce malnutrition in many families.

Strengthening the Poultry Sector
Our local chicken and egg market also exists, but there is an international demand for it. If people support us and continue to raise the chickens we have given with a good heart, we can also strengthen this local chicken and egg market and then take it towards export.
