A Chinese company has expressed interest in exporting animal waste from Pakistan. In this regard, a Chinese delegation recently visited the Livestock and Dairy Development Board Islamabad office and met with the board officials. The delegation-level meeting in Islamabad was attended by Chief Executive Officer Dr. Khurshid Ahmed, Technical Officer Dr. Zahid Al-Quddus Bhatta, and Project Manager Dr. Mohsin Qureshi.
The Chinese delegation has expressed interest in exporting animal waste from Pakistan. The Chinese company has also proposed setting up a plant in Pakistan for export, and in view of its growing demand in China, the animal waste of millions of slaughtered animals in different cities of Pakistan, which is considered waste and thrown into streets and drains, is eager to export it in view of its growing demand in China.
The Chinese delegation welcomed the proposal to set up its plants in different cities of Pakistan and export it and assured all possible cooperation in this regard. Dr. Khurshid Ahmed said that this project will help in increasing foreign exchange as well as reducing environmental pollution.
