Buffalo Breeders Association Meeting with Chairman GCLI
President of Buffalo Breeders Association Punjab Pakistan Khan Ali Imran Rath and General Secretary Engineer Samiullah called on Chairman GCLI (Green Corporate Livestock Initiative) Major General (r) Shuja Anwar. During the meeting, they discussed various issues related to genetic improvement of buffalo breeds, promotion of modern breeding technologies and development of the livestock sector. CEO GCLI Brig (r) Ehtisham Younas and Director Livestock Col (r) Abdul Rehman Qurshi were also present in this Buffalo Breeders Association Meeting with GCLI.
Special attention was paid to genetic improvement of buffalo breeds including Nili Ravi. Buffalo Breeders Association expressed deep interest in gender sorting technology and expressed its desire to cooperate with Green Corporate Livestock Initiative for the production of gender sorted semen and embryos of buffaloes.

They also discused the provision of more elite buffalo breeding bulls to the Green Corporate Livestock Initiative and mutual cooperation in this regard so that the supply of gender-sorted semen of high-breed buffaloes in the country could be further increased. Progressive Buffalo Breeder Mian Rizwan Ahmed was also present in the meeting.
On this occasion, the steps taken by the Green Corporate Livestock Initiative for the establishment of a mouth-watering vaccine plant were appreciated. The Buffalo Breeders Association assured all possible support for this project of national importance. Finally, it was agreed to promote mutual cooperation between the two institutions.
