Biomedical Waste Incinerator inaugurated at FVS BZU Multan
The process of installation of Biomedical Waste Incinerate was completed in the Veterinary Faculty of Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan with the support of Association of Biorisk Management.
Insignia Rater was formally inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan Prof. Dr. Mansoor Akbar Kundi and Dean Veterinary Faculty Prof. Dr. Masood Akhtar. Dr. Faqir Muhammad, Dr. Irfan Anwar, Dr. Muhammad Owais and other faculty members as well as students were present in the inauguration ceremony.
On the occasion of the inauguration, Prof. Dr. Masood Akhtar explained the importance and usefulness of Insini Rater and said that this type of Insini Rater has been installed for the first time in South Punjab at the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences Bahauddin Zakaria University, which destroys the spoiled samples by burning them in a certain period of time at high temperature.
He further informed that the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences has University Diagnostic Laboratory, Prof. Dr. Masood Akhtar Pathology Laboratory, One Health Laboratory and Experimental Livestock and Poultry Farms where animal waste and various samples are collected in the laboratories, which increase the chances of spreading diseases. Because of this destroys so that no dangerous microorganism can escape from the confines or time of the laboratory to contaminate the environment and all germs can be destroyed in time for its further spread.
Dr. Mian Muhammad Owais gave a detailed practical demonstration on the use and performance of Insini Rater to the Chief Guest. Dr. Mian Mohammad Owais said that this Insini reactor has the capacity to burn and destroy any laboratory material at a rate of 15 kg per hour and this Insini reactor has the ability to provide excellent performance at a very low cost. Further, facilities can be provided to various private laboratories and other institutions by using this insini rater.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mansoor Akbar Kundi appreciated Dean Faculty Dr. Masood Akhtar and Dr. Mian Muhammad Owais for successfully installing this Insini Rater and termed their efforts as encouraging.
