Workshop on Assessment of Market Opportunities and Dairy Value Creation by Dairy Beef Project
UVAS Dairy-Beef project organized training workshop on “assessment of market opportunities and value creation” for supporting smallholder farmers. This workshop was the part of 6-month mentorship on value chain training program started in UVAS in August 2021. Project Manager Dairy-Beef Project Team Humera Iqbal and participants from WWF, LPP, SAFWCO and Haq Feedlot farm participated in the workshop.

ACIAR country manager Dr Munawar Raza Kazmi gave the closing remarks and encouraged participants to implement value chain learning in their on going projects. He said smallholder farming community are the integral part of whole farming system and together we can create market opportunities for them.
The objectives of the training workshop were to provide farm advisors with an understanding of principal concepts of beef value chains, to provide an overview of the steps that how to identify and link smallholder farmers to profitable market opportunities and also highlight success and challenges of
working with smallholder farm business group etc.
