The PhD Programme in Basic Sciences seems `almost on the verge of closure. PhD in Basic sciences program, balance tilted in the favour of FCPS. Medical Universities started PhD to meet the international research standards. The FCPS is being promoted to maintain standard of medical practice in Pakistan. PhD in Medical Sciences is not be sustained. Health Universities faced serious problems on this issue. Hard time for Universities and professionals having PhD in these subjects.
