PVMC Advertisement for PVMC Registration and Renewal issued for Nonregistered Vets
The Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council (PVMC) has issued an urgent warning to veterinary doctors. The PVMC has directed veterinary doctors to immediately renew their registration of PVMC. The PVMC advertisement states that many veterinary doctors practice without PVMC registration or PVMC registration renewal. It clearly violates Section (1) 19 of the PVMC Act 1996.
Only registered veterinary doctors are allowed to work in the public or private sectors. The Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council reserves the right to take strict legal action against unauthorized practitioners. It may include fines, suspension of practice, and other legal consequences. According to the issued advertisement, all veterinary doctors are directed to immediately renew their registration of PVMC. Otherwise, they may face suspension or cancellation of registration and legal action in case of no PVMC registration renewal.

The issued advertisement also warns the public to seek treatment only from registered veterinary practitioners. Taking the services of unregistered practitioners is not only illegal but can also prove harmful to the health of animals. Seeking treatment from unregistered or non-renewed veterinary practitioners is illegal and dangerous.

Further, the Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council has issued instructions that veterinary practitioners should prominently display their RVMP certificates in their clinics.
