The Punjab Livestock dept has declared the Civil Veterinary Hospital (CVH) Harbanspura in Lahore an Advanced Veterinary Hospital. The CVH Harbanspura will provide 24/7 veterinary services for livestock and Pets. These services will include surgery, ultrasonography, and X-ray facilities.

CVH Harbanspura Upgraded to Advanced Veterinary Hospital with 24/7 Veterinary Services
According to the Livestock Department, the hospital received Advanced Veterinary Hospital status after the establishment of new operation theatres and diagnostic facilities. Therefore, the hospital will provide 24/7 veterinary services through three continuous shifts: morning, evening, and night. Moreover, the department will appoint trained staff from relevant fields to ensure uninterrupted surgical and emergency care.
This Advanced Veterinary Hospital will also serve as a referral and training centre in Lahore. It will handle advanced referral cases and emergencies that occur outside regular working hours. In addition, it will provide practical training to junior veterinary officers and interns.
Furthermore, the hospital will submit a monthly performance report to the relevant authorities. The report will include details of OPD services, emergency operations, and other major cases handled at the facility.
The Director, Livestock Lahore Division, will ensure the continuous availability of emergency medicines and surgical consumables. He will also oversee backup power arrangements and the maintenance of digital X-ray, ultrasound, and mobile veterinary services.
The initiative aims to ensure timely diagnosis and treatment for animals, particularly during emergencies. As a result, CVH Harbanspura is expected to strengthen advanced veterinary care and referral services in Lahore.
