In an agricultural country like Pakistan, rural women play an important role in agriculture, livestock, poultry, dairy farming and the household economy. Rural women in Pakistan are involved in the production of eggs, milk and other agricultural products at the household level, along with taking care of chickens, goats, sheep and other livestock. These activities not only meet the nutritional needs of their families but also become a source of additional income.
