DG Food authority ordered to check canned milk factories. Along with open milk, a strict watch has been kept on canned milk as well. DG Food Authority Muhammad Usman ordered an inspection of canned milk factories. DG Food Authority issued instructions in a meeting with Additional Director General Operations. DG Food Authority ordered a detailed inspection of packaged milk factories across the province and said that a detailed check of the production areas of the companies should be done.

DG said that the milk purchase and stock records in the factories will be checked completely, strict action should be taken if the milk purchase and sale records are not complete, laboratory analysis of all packaged milk factories brands should also be done as per the annual schedule. According to DG Food Authority, the names of pass and fail brands will be published in the public interest as soon as the results of the laboratory analysis are received. Along with open milk, a daily report of actions against canned milk should be submitted.
