National Red Gold Club organized a prize distribution ceremony at RCCIB Jhang

The National Red Gold Club organized a prize distribution ceremony at the Research Center for Conservation of Indigenous Breeds (RCCIB Jhang). During the ceremony, prizes and certificates were distributed to the owners of the Sahiwal Cows and Cholistani Cows that secured the first, second, and third positions. More than 100 farmers participated in the competition, out of which 77 animals of 43 farmers were included in the Red Gold Club.

The ceremony was attended by Additional Secretary Technical Dr. Usman Tahir, Director General (Production) Dr. Muhammad Yousuf, Director Breed Improvement Dr. Wajid Arshad Khan, Director Faisalabad Division Dr. Syed Nadeem Badar, Dr. Tahir Ismail, Sardar Aftab Ahmed Khan Wattoo of Sahiwal Cattle Breeders Society, in-charge of livestock farms across the province, officers of various institutions, registered breeders and members of the Red Gold Club.

Awards of the National Red Gold Club

In the Sahiwal cows category, the cow of Zafar Abbas of Jhang came first with 27.81 liters of milk, the cow of Muhammad Yahya Shakir of Jhang came second with 27.55 liters, while the cow of Sardar Aftab Ahmed Khan Wattu of Khanewal came third with 26.16 liters of milk. Further, the cow of Sardol Khan of Toba Tek Singh gave 25.20 liters, the cow of Hafiz Muhammad Shabbir of Bahawalpur gave 24.48 liters and the cow of Usama Rafiq of Sahiwal gave 23.71 liters of milk.

In the Cholistani cows category, Ali Sher’s Kabotri cow came first with 24.14 liters of milk, Muhammad Riaz’s Kunj cow came second with 22.12 liters, while Muhammad Javed’s Ranjhi cow came third with 21.59 liters of milk. Furthermore, the Cholistani cow Bhago of Muhammad Sattar gave 20.30 liters of milk. All these breeders belonged to Bahawalnagar.

Appreciation for the Team

Director of the Research Center for Conservation of Indigenous Breeds, (RCCIB Jhang), Dr. Muhammad Asim Tauseef thanked all the guests and congratulated his staff for the successful organization of the event.

He especially appreciated the hard work of all the officials and supporting staff, including Dr. Muhammad Shakeel Anwar, Dr. Shahbaz Ahmed, Dr. Abrar Anwar, Dr. Ikramullah, Dr. Nasir Abbas, Dr. Shafqat Abbas, Dr. Tayyaba Israr Khan, Dr. Amara Shaukat, Hafiz Shafqan Javed, Sajid Ali Sial. He expressed the hope that the institution will continue to achieve double and quadruple progress and achievements in the future as well.

The participants appreciated the performance of the Research Center for Conservation of Indigenous Breeds (RCCIB Jhang) on this occasion and expressed their best wishes for its further progress and success.
