Director General Production of Livestock Department Punjab visited CEBG Okara

Director General Production, Livestock Department, Punjab, Dr. Yousaf, along with his team, visited the Centre of Excellence for Bovine Genetics (CEBG Okara) and met with Commandant Brig Muhammad Ali Raza. During the meeting, various aspects of promoting breed improvement, artificial insemination and embryo transfer technology in collaboration between the Livestock Department and CEBG Okara were discussed in detail.

Dr. Yousaf inspected the center’s quality semen production laboratory and bull station and expressed satisfaction with the steps taken to increase milk and meat production through the use of high-quality semen. He said that the genetic potential at the national level can be improved by preparing nucleus herds through modern genetic technology and embryo transfer.

On this occasion, Brig Muhammad Ali Raza said that the collaboration between the Livestock Department and Centre of Excellence for Bovine Genetics can play a significant role in the development of the country and the nation. He assured that the institution, in collaboration with the Livestock Department of Punjab, will continue to provide full support to farmers for providing modern facilities, quality breeding, and sustainable livestock development.
