World Egg Day 2025 celebrated at FVAS IUB

The Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) celebrated World Egg Day 2025 with great enthusiasm. Poster competition, egg-based cooking competition, awareness activities highlighting the nutritional and health benefits of eggs were organized.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran attended the event as the chief guest. He appreciated the efforts of the students and faculty in creating awareness about the importance of eggs as an affordable and complete source of protein. He emphasized that such initiatives help in improving community nutrition and strengthening the poultry sector of Pakistan.

Nutritional Value of Eggs

Dean Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khalid Mansoor appreciated the active participation of the students and reiterated the faculty’s commitment to promote practical education and public health awareness. Dr. Shakeel Ahmed, Chairman, Department of Poultry Production, highlighted the importance of World Egg Day. He also highlighted the role of the poultry industry in ensuring food security and economic development.

World Egg Day Theme 2025

The students showcased their creativity through educational posters and egg dishes under the theme “Powerful Eggs Packed with Natural Nutrition”. The event concluded with an awareness walk and prize distribution among the winners of various competitions.
