Livestock Farmer Awareness Seminar under GCLI organized by DCFA and L&DD KPK

A Livestock farmer awareness seminar was organized under the Green Corporate Livestock Initiative (GCLI). It was organized by the Dairy and Cattle Farmers Association Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (DCFA KPK) and the Livestock and Dairy Development Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. A large number of livestock farmers from across the province participated in the seminar.

Discussion at Livestock Farmer Awareness Seminar

Addressing the seminar, Secretary Livestock and Fisheries Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Fakhar Alam said that we are here for the welfare of farmers. We will try our best to ensure that the Livestock Department does not neglect any facilities for the farmers.

Addressing the livestock farmer awareness seminar, the President of Dairy and Cattle Farmers Association Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Major (R) Azhar Khan said that the Dairy and Cattle Farmers Association (DCFA KPK) is a representative association of dairy farmers in Pakistan whose aim is a prosperous farmer, a prosperous Pakistan. Our effort is to play our full role in the development of the dairy sector.

In the seminar, Dr. Masroor Tipu said that the network of the Dairy and Cattle Farmers Association is spread all over Pakistan. Apart from small farmers from all over Pakistan, a large number of progressive farmers have joined the association. He highlighted various aspects regarding better production in dairy farming.

Director General Livestock and Dairy Development Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Asal Khan while addressing said that the farmers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa play a part in the national economy. We are trying to provide all the facilities to the farmers at their doorsteps which they are entitled to.

 

Initiatives for the Livestock Sector

Brig Ehtisham Younas while giving a special talk on behalf of Green Corporate Livestock Initiative (GCLI) said that for the development of dairy and livestock, it is necessary to import the best breeds of cattle from all over the world along with our local breeds. We are popularizing embryo transfer technology in Pakistan by taking the help of modern technology. These steps will increase the production of per capita animals and make farmers’ businesses profitable.

He said that the world is currently facing food security challenges. Pakistan is rich in natural resources of livestock. We have to use all our energies to give rise to the dairy sector of Pakistan, for which we need the support of farmers. Green Corporate Livestock Initiative (GCLI) will continue to strive to achieve its targets with the support of the Dairy and Cattle Farmers Association in Pakistan.

In the seminar, the Central President of the Dairy and Cattle Farmers Association of Pakistan, Shakir Umar Gujjar, said in his special message that we stand by our institutions in the national interest.
