Causes of the Parvo Dog Virus

Parvovirus is transmitted from one animal to another through the feces of infected dogs, contaminated environments, utensils, clothes, shoes, or other objects. The virus can survive in the environment for a long time, which is why it spreads very quickly.

Treatment

There is no specific antiviral treatment for parvovirus, but appropriate supportive care can help the animal recover. Treatment usually includes:

  • IV fluids
  • Supplying electrolytes

It is important to isolate the infected animal immediately to prevent the disease from spreading to other dogs.
