The list of top 2% researchers released by Stanford University also includes researchers from the livestock sector. According to details, Professor John P. A. Lloyds of Stanford University in the US and his team have compiled data on the world’s top 2% researchers, which was published by the scientific journal PLOS Biology. Earlier, this data was released in 2019, which contained data up to 2017-18. The current data is the second version, which includes data up to 2019.
List of Top Scientists
The current data consists of two lists. One list is based on the Citation Impact of the entire career, while the second list is based on the Citation Impact of the year 2019. The list compiled on the basis of Citations of the entire career consists of more than 159683 researchers from all over the world, including 81 Pakistanis. The name of Dr. Rifatullah Khan from the University of Agriculture Peshawar is included in this list. Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan Dr. Sania Nishtar and former Vice Chancellor of the University of Agriculture Faisalabad Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ashraf are also part of this list.
List of Top Scientists from Veterinary Sciences
On the other hand, the list compiled based on citations of the year 2019 consists of 161441 researchers, including 243 Pakistanis. Dr. Rafatullah of the University of Agriculture Peshawar from the livestock sector is also part of this list. Along with them, the names of Dr. Sohail Hassan Khan from the Poultry Research Institute Rawalpindi, Dr. Murtaza Hassan Andrabi from the National Agricultural Research Center, Dr. Rao Zahid Abbas from the University of Agriculture Faisalabad and Dr. Khalid Mahmood from the Islamia University of Bahawalpur (formerly the Veterinary University of Lahore) are included in this list.
