World Egg Day 2025 Celebrated by Directorate of Poultry Production and Research Sindh
World Egg Day 2025 was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Sindh by the Directorate of Poultry Production and Research Sindh. Besides the main event in Karachi, District Offices organized various activities in different cities.

Main Event of World Eg Day 2025 in Sindh
The main event was held at the Directorate of Poultry Production and Research Sindh, Korangi, Karachi. Officers, experts, teachers, students and other dignitaries of the poultry department attended.
The special guest of the event was Chairman Ushr and Zakat District Korangi Imran Ahmed Siddiqui. Director General Poultry Dr. Munawar Ali Rajput, Director Poultry Kabiruddin and Additional Director Poultry Dr. Salahuddin, along with deputy directors from across the province, other officers and staff members attended the event.
The special guest Imran Ahmed Siddiqui said in his address that eggs are a complete and natural food that is affordable and easily available to every section of the society. He said that daily consumption of eggs is very important for the development of children, health of women and energy of the elderly. He said that we should highlight the nutritional importance of eggs among the public and promote its use so as to create a healthy society.
Other speakers also expressed their views. Regular consumption of eggs is the best source of protein and vitamins required by the body, which plays an important role in overall health and mental development.
Activities in Various Cities
In this regard, events were organized in Jamshoro, Matiari, Mirpurkhas, Noshahr Feroze, Tharparkar, Hyderabad and other districts of Sindh under the auspices of the offices of the Deputy Director of Poultry Production.
Dr. Sajjad Ahmed Siddiqui, Dr. Zulfiqar Haider Sethar, Dr. Mehran-un-Nasa, Dr. Abdul Sattar Shahani, Dr. Hidayatullah Memon, Dr. Arshad Ali, Dr. Sameer-e-Azsolangi, Dr. Ashfaq Ahmed Qureshi, Dr. Hina Jokhio, Dr. Faisal Rehman, Dr. Faisal Ayub, Dr. Ismail Qureshi, Dr. Irshad Ahmed, Dr. Zubair Ahmed Soomro, Dr. Ashfaq Qureshi and others informed students and the public about the nutritional benefits of eggs through awareness lectures, food competitions, and prize distribution in various schools.
