
University of Kamalia celebrated World Egg Day 2025 in collaboration with PPA
University of Kamalia celebrated World Egg Day 2025 with great enthusiasm in collaboration with Pakistan Poultry Association. Various activities were organized on the occasion, including seminars, awareness walk, exhibition and competition of egg dishes, egg spoon race and interesting egg eating games. More than 2000 students, teachers, family members and industry professionals participated in the activities of the day.
Speakers at World Egg Day 2025 Ceremony
The event began with welcome remarks by Prof. Dr. Yasir Nawab, Vice Chancellor, University of Kamalia and Dr. Arshad Hanif, Former Chairman, PPA, who welcomed all the distinguished guests, students and industrialists.
The speakers at the inaugural seminar included Dr. Muhammad Athar, Dr. Mehran-un-Nisa and Dr. Muhammad Umair Arshad. On the occasion, Dr. Javed Akhtar, Vice Chancellor, Sahiwal University and Dr. Faheem Aftab, Vice Chancellor, Jhang University also spoke as special guests and appreciated the efforts of Kamalia University in academic and industrial linkages.

Prominent personalities from the poultry industry also addressed the event, including Raza Mahmood, Khalid Saleem Malik, Rai Mansab Ali Kharal, Fargham Toor, Rana Ghulam Mustafa, Haji Mukhtar, Malik Sajjad, Dr. Qasim Altaf, Shahzad Mustafa, Haji Altaf Haider, Chaudhry Shahid Iqbal Gujjar, Malik Muhammad Sharif, Vice Chairman Pakistan Poultry Association, Dr. Muhammad Riaz and Abdul Qadeer. On this occasion, Khalid Saleem Malik also announced ten scholarships for deserving students of Jamia Kamalia, which was highly appreciated by the teachers and students.
Activities on World Egg Day 2025
More than ten institutions participated in the event, including Jamia Jhang, Jamia Okara, Baba Guru Nanak University Nankana Sahib, Government College University Faisalabad, Government College Women University Faisalabad, National Textile University Faisalabad, Hizbur Rahman Academy, Superior College Kamalia and Spire College Kamalia.
At the end, the results of various competitions were announced. Jamia Kamalia secured the first position, while Government College University Faisalabad and Government College Women University Faisalabad secured the second position. Jamia Jhang, Jamia Okara, Hizbur Rahman Academy, Superior College Kamalia and Government College of Technology Kamalia were at the third position.

On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Yasir Nawab, Vice Chancellor of University of Kamalia thanked the Pakistan Poultry Association, industrialists and all the participating institutions. He said that such events not only create nutritional awareness but also strengthen the relationship between education, community and industry. He hoped that this mutual collaboration would provide more opportunities in the future, which would open new avenues for the development of students, research and community.
