World Egg Day celebrated at the University of Karachi

World Poultry Science Association Pakistan Branch South Zone and Department of Physiology of Karachi University celebrated World Egg Day 2024. BS Poultry Science students actively participated in administrative affairs. Waqar Alam, Dr. Khalid Iqbal, Dr. Manwar Hussain Minhis, Shehryar, Dr. Musrat Ali Pathan, Dr. Shahan, and others participated in the event. Chairman Department of Physiology Dr. Taseer Ahmed welcomed the guests.

Addressing the event, the speakers discussed the history of World Egg Day and the current situation of egg production in Pakistan. Experts also highlighted the nutritional importance and usefulness of eggs. The use of artificial intelligence and modern technology in poultry production was also discussed on this occasion.

Competitions were also organized by the Karachi University Poultry Science Society on the occasion of the day. Poster competition, cooking competition, and project competition as well as egg painting competition were also part of the competitions. Students actively participated in these competitions.
