Abdullah from UVAS appointed as the World Animal Day Ambassador for Pakistan
Hafiz Muhammad Abdullah, President of Special Animals and Veterinary Emergency Relief Society SAVERS UVAS, has been appointed World Animal Day Ambassador for Pakistan. Hafiz Abdullah has been doing services for the awareness and protection of animal rights for many years. SAVERS is a society of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore working for animal welfare.
After getting his basic education from Gujranwala, he chose the field of veterinary sciences and took admission in DVM at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore. He became a part of SAVERS as a volunteer and then worked in various capacities, rising to the position of President. He conducted various seminars, workshops and awareness activities related to animal welfare and treatment. Moreover, he also took various steps for the training of junior students. He also organized various camps for vaccination and treatment of animals.
He also contributed to the eradication of rabies and was part of Rabies Free Pakistan activities. Hafiz Abdullah also served as the head of awareness on antimicrobial resistance under One Health.
