The Vet Crescent Society of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore, in collaboration with the East Windsor Animal Hospital, USA, organized the second webinar on the topic of Evidence Based Medicine.

Evidence Based Medicine in Veterinary Practice
The aim of the webinar was to make Pakistani students aware of the modern techniques used in the diagnosis and treatment of animal diseases based on facts in developed countries. Dr. Ijaz Rashid, Chief Executive Officer of East Windsor Animal Hospital, spoke in the webinar.
He said that the treatment of animals is not done compassionately. Considering the condition of the animal, first the diagnosis is made based on facts and then the treatment is moved towards. The selection of modern equipment and technology for diagnosis is also made keeping in mind the need. He said that in America, people love their animals very much and animals are treated with utmost responsibility. The most important aspect in this is accurate and timely diagnosis. During this, it is progressed step by step so that the right choice of modern technology and technicians can be made as per the need.
Important Cases at East Windsor Anima Hospital
He gave detailed information about the most important cases coming to his hospital, including Anaplasmosis, Osteosarcoma, Removal of left Kidney in dog due to cyst (Renal Cell Carcinoma), Feline Infectious Peritonitis, Lyme Disease, Teeth Trimming in Rabbit, Mass Cell Tumor and depression in parrot due to change of owner.
Information about the Hospital
About East Windsor Animal Hospital, he said that this hospital was founded in October 2013. Before that, I was serving as a veterinary professional in various American institutions. He said that currently my hospital has the latest facilities for animals. Cancer vaccination is also done in dogs here in collaboration with a German institution. Treatment is also done with the latest methods of treatment like stem cell therapy. Their happiness is visible. He added that this is why we are waited for here during the successful surgery of our animals and during the surgery, just like people in Pakistan do during the surgery of their loved ones and during the surgery itself in the hospital.
