CM Approved Fixed Traveling Allowance for Paravets of Punjab
Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has approved a fixed traveling allowance for Paravets of Livestock Department Punjab. This is being called a historic decision for the welfare of the field staff of the Livestock and Dairy Development Department of Punjab. TA of Rs 4,000 per month for veterinary assistants and artificial insemination technicians has been approved in the cabinet meeting. The move aims to reduce the travel and practical problems faced by the staff serving in the field and make their performance more effective.
An important agreement was also approved between the Livestock Department Punjab and Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) in the Cabinet Meeting. Under this agreement, all services of the Livestock Department will be brought under a modern online monitoring system. Direct digital monitoring of the performance and availability, and accessibility of mobile veterinary services will be made possible under this agreement. The new monitoring system will be linked to the Livestock Connect digital platform. It will further improve the provision of timely, transparent and quality veterinary services to the public.

Provincial Minister for Livestock Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani and Secretary for Livestock Ahmed Aziz Tarar congratulated the field staff. The Provincial Minister said that the Punjab government is not only ensuring the welfare of the staff through practical measures but is also aligning the Livestock Department with modern technology. The approval of traveling allowance and the digital monitoring system are aimed at improving transparency, accountability, and the quality of public service, he added.
