Successful Bovine Embryos Production at Fongrow, More than 70 Animals Conceived

Along with semen production, the embryo transfer project of the Fongrow Breed Improvement and Research Center is also going on successfully. According to the information provided by Fongrow, in a very short period of time, more than 70 animals have been successfully conceived from bovine embryos prepared in Fongrow’s IVF lab for animals. The animals have conceived with the bovine embryos of Brahman, Nellore, Guzerat, Girolando, and Angus. Along with this, the process of preparing more embryos and transferring them to animals is also going on vigorously.

Fongrow Managing Director Major General (R) Muhammad Yousuf Majuka appreciated the team for this journey of continuous success. He said that Fongrow has provided the best technology in the world for embryo production. Bulls with the highest characteristics of different breeds have been imported for further breed improvement. Our aim is to provide the highest quality bovine embryos and bovine semen for breed improvement in Pakistan.

Brig (R) Arshad Tawfiq, Chief Operating Officer of Fongrow Breed Improvement and Research Center, says that the most important step in the embryo transfer project is the successful conception of the animal. In this, the quality of the embryos, as well as the expertise and other aspects in transferring the embryo to the animal, are involved.
