Sindh Livestock Expo 2025 and DALFA Cattle Show 2025 held at Karachi Expo Centre
Livestock and Fisheries Department Sindh and Badar Expo Solutions jointly organized the Sindh Livestock Expo 2025 and DALFA Cattle Show 2025 at Expo Center Karachi. The Expo was inaugurated by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah. Minister Livestock and Fisheries Sindh Muhammad Ali Malkani, Secretary Livestock and Fisheries Kazim Jatoi, Director General Dr. Nazir Hussain Kalhoro, Dr. Munawar Ali, Haris Ali Mithani, and others also participated. Minister Livestock Punjab Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani and DG Green Corporate Livestock Initiative (GCLI) Major General (retd) Shahid Mahmood also specially attended the Expo.
CM Address at Sindh Livestock Expo
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said that he was happy to see scientists, policymakers, investors and farmers gathered in one place. Agriculture and livestock play an important role in our economy. For small farmers, livestock is not only a source of income but also a lifeline. The farmer earns his halal livelihood while facing daily challenges.
The Chief Minister of Sindh said that lack of access to modern technology remains a barrier in the livestock sector. The Sindh government is fully committed to overcoming the above challenges. All resources are being utilized to promote agriculture, livestock, and fisheries. Moreover, the Sindh Government is making strategic partnerships with international banks and business institutions.
He said that there is a need to adopt modern farming to increase animal health and production. We will pave the way for a bright future for the farmers and livestock owners of Sindh. We want farmers, investors, and businesses to all cooperate with each other. He appreciated the organizers for organizing the Sindh Livestock Expo 2025.
Objectives of Sindh Livestock Expo 2025
Provincial Minister for Livestock Sindh Muhammad Ali Malkani said that the aim of organizing this expo is to promote livestock breeds. We have brought stakeholders together on one platform. However, the expo will pave the way for collaboration between fattening farmers and cattle breeders and open new avenues of business.
Dr. Nazir Hussain Kalhoro said that this is the third edition of the Sindh Livestock Expo. Earlier, we organized this expo in Hyderabad. This year, the expo is being held in collaboration with the DALFA Cattle Show 2025.
Activities at the Expo and DALFA Cattle Show
More than two thousand animals, more than one thousand birds, eleven types of cows, two types of buffaloes, seventeen types of goats, four types of sheep, five types of horses, two types of camels, and a large number of beautiful bulls prepared for meat were on display at the three-day Sindh Livestock Expo. A special exhibition of pets and birds was also organized at the expo. Various sports competitions were also part of the three-day expo.
Various seminars were also organized during the expo and DALFA Cattle Show 2025. Dr. Shahzad Naveed Jadoon, Dr. Abdullah Sethar, Professor Elahi Bakhsh Marghzani, and other experts spoke. An animal Cavalcade was also organized on the occasion in which buffaloes of the Kandhi and Nili Ravi breeds, cows of the Three, Kankraj, and Red Sindhi breeds, and different breeds of sheep and goats were presented.
