King Charles III bestowed royal title on rare golden goat
King Charles has bestowed a royal title to rare goat breed as Royal Golden Guernsey Goat. However, this title has given during King Charles III and Queen Camilla visit to Island. Moreover, it happens first time in recent history that the protected title has granted to a livestock breed. However, this title will be applicable to the livestock breed anywhere in the world.
It is a rare breed of Guernsey in the Channel Islands. Originally, it came from goats imported from the Channel Islands. According to Golden Guernsey Goat Society, this rare breed has raised for milk. But, this goat do not produce as much as the larger dairy breeds. This society founded in 1968. However, this society has been affiliated to the British Goat Society since 1969. Moreover, this society also has membership of the Rare Breeds Survival Trust.
